LEAP was founded on two core concepts - health & wellness and sustainability – embodied by its founder, Luke Penney, a former collegiate athlete and adjunct college professor of sustainable business.  Harnessing those experiences and mindsets drove Luke to use certified organic & plant-based ingredients and responsible business practices to create a company and products that are as healthy for its customers as they are for the planet.  To formalize its commitment to sustainability and the environment, LEAP was officially certified as a B Corp in 2011, an achievement very few companies in the world have done, by passing a rigorous, transparent assessment of its environmental, social & business practices.  LEAP is also a member of 1% For The Planet, a coalition of global companies who have committed to donating a minimum of 1% of their annual sales to environmental non-profits and causes.
